Would you buy this book?

I did. I was looking for a book by Laurie Notaro (she is a great humor writer) and came across this instead.

I picked it up after reading the title. I bought it after reading the description on the back cover:

"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But I do contribute to humanity in one very important way:
I share my adventures with the world."

I haven't started it yet, but I probably will this weekend. Maybe I will let you know how it is when I finish. I have a feeling I will be amused, entertained and pissed off by it.

Cool.

Does the title, cover art or description put you off, or would you read this book?

This is absolutely the sort of book I would buy. I would be appalled at his actions, yet appreciate his refreshing honesty. Love it.

Ha! Yes. I think a baby girl should learn early in life about all the asshole men she will meet in her life.

Probably not. It's bad enough to have to deal with RL a$$es - why spend your time away from them reading about it?

Hell, yes, I would buy this ... after all, I wrote it. :)

I'd pay for irreverence, sure. I'd buy the book (but only after my usual practice of reading the first and last page). Yep. I do that with every book I buy. I'm odd that way.
